Any thoughts on this underrated Mexican slugger?

Here's some of his available fights.

Anaya's 2 KO victories over Enrique Pinder (who would beat Chucho Castillo and Rafael Herrera)

His most well known fight was against Arnold Taylor which is considered as one of the craziest fights in BW history.

He was quite popular in Mexico.
He was a guy that came from Chiapas, not a State that was famous relatively to Boxing, so for that reason at least locally he is one of the biggest names in history.
He liked his alcohol too much, probably why he had such a quick career at the top.

His reign is where the bantamweight title initially split. World champ Enrique Pinder signed to fight Anaya and, although Anaya had about 5 really solid wins in '72 over top echelon fighters, he was not the #1 contender at this time. Rodolfo Martinez was the leading challenger and the WBC insisted that Pinder make his first title defense against him. But Pinder declined and defended against Anaya, which resulted in the WBC matching Martinez with former champ Rafael Herrera for their recognition. And things would never be the same.
