The kid has his pro debut today.

Watched him quite a few times in the amateurs, good fighter with many flaws. Can be outworked but we will see how he gets on.
Currently trained by Spencer Oliver, a good guy but doesn't have a very good pro trainer track record at all. Been around for a while but his fighters never develop into much. Starts off well then tails off.

How far do you think he can go?

I don't mean this in a bad way at all but will be interesting to see what he does when he can't do some skipping tricks and dance about like a hip hop artist throwing his fists about.

He's got the potential to be a right tosser.

    Just another show-pony, IMO.

There isn't much wrong with doing a bit of showboating now and again in small doses but the kid seems to do it constantly. Spencer Oliver will have problems kerbing that side of the kid. No top class trainer would allow that nonsense in training on such a regular basis. Hence why he is with Oliver.

His shadow boxing was ridiculous, so unnecessary to be doing all that showboating stuff after every combination, all it's gonna do is give him bad habits.

I agree. A large part of that boils down to the trainer, that shows the kid has control of the camp. As I said from experience Oliver is a poor pro trainer. Good on pads but lacks leadership/discipline. Can you imagine a guy like Jimmy Tibbs letting him do that??

I agree with every post above if im honest. with showboating there is a fine line. I mean look at Adrian Broner. He show boats but does the business. He doesn't do it to excess we will see how the kid progresses but im not hopeful.

He's obviously a hell of an athlete, incredibly strong, and lives to train. Be interesting to see where he goes as a boxer. Almost looks more MMA material to me from his build and some of his training routines...

hes very good i just worry about his size as a 5ft 2 light welterweight is going to look a bit odd unless hes had a growth spurt since i last saw him box againts some kid from finchley down in portsmouth

The kid must have been on some enhancing supplements from a young age, probably unknowingly to him with his family wanting him to become this showman/boxer. Just google his name and look at him when he was like 12-15? It's impossible.
Good luck to him, but I hope he get's blasted out while showboating in all honesty.

That link nails it for me. His Dad is obssesed with him being world champion, to the point where he's not had a childhood. Look at his body, it is not natural for a 14 year old to have that body, at that age they won't test for PEDS & his Dad didn't want him out of arms reach.... make what you will...

"No-one understands my boy like I do.
"I wasn't happy that they could look after his needs and I wanted him in a hotel with me.
"He's been brought up to be a top athlete.
"He's never eaten a sweet or a cake in his life.
"He eats seven meals a day. He's not the same as other boys."

FFS his dad is no better than the ****s who kept the slaves for 30 years :)
