yup and I wouldn't fault him for cashing out like this, maximizing his profits and riding off into the sun set. As much as I'd love to see legendary fights with Floyd, I want the guy to retire healthy so that he can continue to serve boxing in different ways. Hes good for boxing, when its all said and done there is a bit of a possibility that he does a lot more for boxing aside from being a fighter.

Canelo is the only legitimate opponent on the list, which is a compliment to just how good Floyd is. The only threats to him are middleweights, Marquez (I think the fight would be closer now) and Manny.

Fixed. People still expecting Top Rank fights to happen... amusing.

Oh, and Martinez fights @ 160. Apparently this is an elusive fact that most people don't seem to understand.

Dont worry he wont unless Canelo gets exposed by Austin Trout which is a definate possibilty, then Mayweather might fight Canelo . The excuse he'll use is Trout wont draw any $$$$$$ :rofl:rofl:rofl

At least half of that list will get knocked off and lose the momentum to get a Mayweather fight

    ultimately, it's this right here.

I believe there is an option to get out of the contract early too, after 2 fights. There is no way that Floyd will fight 6 times in 30 months.

Thats the thing about Mayweather, if the welterweight divsion were stacked, he'd move on to 154 lbs if the opposition there was less risky.

You have Canelo and Martinez who is willing to drop down to 154 lbs, those are the fights to make and I doubt Mayweather will do that.

The only guy on the list from Borges who's a legitamate threat is Canelo, and its likley the case he's last on Mayweather's hit list and dropped alltogether if Canelo looks fantastic against Trout.

sheet....matthysse is not going to get floyd or garcia unless he signs haymon as an "adviser" and signs a long term deal with gbp.

lucas is currently getting jobbed and everybody with half a brain knows it.

Floyd shouldnt have to campaign at 154 but i agree if its the right fighter and money ala Martinez or Canelo level....then yea....other than that he shouldnt have to fight 154lb fighters who haven't done much themselves.
