You have people that bolster or diminish Tyson, it goes both ways but he has it pretty good. At the end of the day, considering how badly his post prison career was, Tyson is regarded pretty highly so I think time has helped his legacy and will continue to. I think that's also due to the way he is now and the way he has promoted himself, people see him in a better light and feel a bit more comfortable acknowledging the beast he was in the 80s. the mainstream public still see him as the man, up there with Ali. So Tyson must be laughing really. Despite all that stuff he did, that 80s peak really endures. the myth of that invincible prime will never go away however untrue it is.

Because most people who use the Holyfield fights to tear Tyson down tend to ignore that Holyfield was consistently dirtier than Tyson ever was including the Tyson fights.

Hes forgiven for taking steroids, headbutts, low blows, elbows, and everything else but when Tyson fights back and takes it to the next level he acts holier than thou and so do his fans.

He wouldn't have even been in the same ring with Tyson, or Bowe, or Foreman, or Lewis, or Mercer, or any other real heavyweight if he hadn't been roided up to his eye*****.

Take away his cheating and his needles and Holyfield has a completely different career and one that is much less noteworthy.
