Joe Frazier, Vasily Alexeev (legendary weightlifter) and Ron Lyle, there's the 3 as they always come in threes these big name deaths.. RIP to you all, I looked up to all 3.

 

Rest in peace, gentle warrior.

By conquering negativity, you have been an inspiration.

You fearlessly gave life your best shot.

That's all a man can do, and to me you will always be a champion.

I wonder if there were complications from his prison stabbing ... he was pronounced dead in jail before he got out ... it might have been some sort of condition ... who knows ...

Sad news indeed.

This reminds me of a couple of years back when we lost Arturo Gatti and Alexis Arguello close together as well. That was hard to take but losing two men like Frazier and Lyle who were both key figures in the biggest division during it's greatest decade makes it even more poignant.

RIP Ron. You were a top fighter and an even greater story of redemption.
