Wilder has consistently managed to land his big thunder on opponents to finish them off. Problem is, he just as consistently manages to look awful. While its clear that he's to be considered above the normal rabble, he's equally hard to pick against somebody great. That big right hand of his is a permanent "get out of jail free" card, and other than that he sucks. Imho, of course, and your mileage may differ.

Prime Jimmy Young takes Wilder to school and back.
Wilder has one weapon for Jimmy and Jimmy neutralizes that and shows him what its like to fight a prime master craftsman. Wilder wont know whats happening to him. JY wiiiiide UD

I've never really rated anyone just for hanging around like a bad smell around the top.

There's consistently beating the best opponents, but Wilder really hasn't done that. Stiverne and Ortiz were decent, but neither have done a lot (really Ortiz has the Jennings win and a lot of lackluster efforts). Other than that he fought a very diminished Fury, and many including myself think he should have lost.

I like Povetkin, he has good all round fundamentals and decent power and a good chin.
Lyle on his best day was an incredibly determined tough guy with good skills and could really bang, he didn’t mind a ruck.
I think this is a hard one to call I suspect Povetkin might be a little bit too consistent and win a very narrow UD.
