Prime for prime. Both menaces to society, although Lyle seemed to straighten out to a good man, ike never did. Both had great power and chin, does Lyle stop ikes unbeaten record

I got Lyle. Ike to me is still a mystery. He's more of a what could of been in my book

One is almost bulletproof, the other is not --> One has to win by UD, leading to a big disadvantage, if power is your main asset relying on.

I am not sure on this......Ike had a chin, stamina, size, strength and power as he proved in his short career but Lyle was no joke when in a punch up given the younger Foreman fight I see a similar fight.....in Ikes career he did fight a huge puncher in Tua and never tasted the canvas so it is hard to say if he had a better chin than Foreman and Lyle he will be a mystery forever now.....

Ike has the edge in chin and can throw more power punches per round, but who did he honestly stop who was elite? Chris Byrd? Id say there power is pretty close, if not leaning toward lyle who stopped shavers who was ranked in the top 10 and nearly stopped foreman.

So then we have strategy and ring iq. Ike had a good, basic boxer/puncher form, almost like a modern sized sonny liston. However his resume was pretty thin. Lyle went to war with bugner, young, quarry, ledoux, etc and had plenty of 12 round experience even if he didnt always get the nod, he remained competitive throughout. Ike only had one serious war: with tua, and that was a hell of a war, but lyle took on a wider variety of styles/boxers of all shapes and sizes and tua was pretty 1 dimensional. Lyle could follow a gameplan and actually box. Ike could to, but we unfortunately didnt see enough of him to determine how good his overall ability was.

Overall, lyle likely wins a close, competitive decision and he may have to get off the floor to do it. Id give him at least a 60% chance of pulling it off due to more experience and the x factor of knowing what its like to be hurt/behind and having to "find a way to win". Ike is no slouch tho, tough as hell, a little heavier, and could pull off an upset with a good gameplan.

In a pure slugfest (which was entirely possible given their styles and temperament) i see ike eventually getting the stoppage in 6-7 gruelling rounds. But again, entirely possible it goes the other way, lyle was a scary sob.

Despite the obvious question marks, I'd put my money on Ike by stoppage. He has the chin and strength to deal with whatever Lyle brings his way, and the power and stamina to impose his will and hurt Lyle.

At least Ron fought a lot more competitive fights. Ike was matched in maybe two fights he was not absolutely guaranteed to win. Two fights is not enough to go on. Sorry.

    Ron for me.

    This.
Ibeabuchi of the Tua fight showed more than enough to put him ontop of Lyle, who will be fighting an iron chinned tank toe to toe like he did vs Shavers or Foremen.

I like Ibeabuchi in this match up. I think it would be a war, Lyle would likely hurt even knock down Ibeabuchi but I think Ike would eventually take over and finish Lyle off later in the fight

I'd go with Lyle on points, if I were betting on it.

Apparently Ike is on the cusp of being an atg despite barely edging Tua and getting a gift stoppage against Byrd

No, I just never realized that you had to be an ATG to win a fictitious head-to-head matchup against another fighter.
