Ron Lyle vs Joe Frazier

To be fair though, Shavers had Foreman level power, and there are many who would say “and then some” - so I guess that isn’t the linchpin point and Foreman never faced Quarry either.

However, I won’t BS and rest on the ? of GF never having faced Jerry, if GF had faced Quarry, I would confidently pick George to execute an early to mid round stoppage. George not only had power but the perfect mentality to deliver that power to max. effect.

Ronnie needs to channel his inner beast, turn green and go Hulk mode (LOL) vs Joe, not that it necessarily means victory but at least it would allow best chance for Lyle.

I always felt Ronnie had confidence issues - but an in your face slug out didn’t give him time to question himself or overthink, rather, he would simply react and punch back.

Quarry fought a very intelligent, in and out fight vs Lyle, not so much a one gear forward as Joe would be. Would Frazier’s style be enough to stoke Lyle’s true fire? Maybe, maybe not.

If Frazier’s going to maim you either way, best to at least go down fighting, it might actually serve to reduce the duration of your pain and suffering anyway, hehe.
