a co-worker and I were discussing this earlier, which prompted me to post a thread on ESB about this hypothetical match-up. I think he said Ruiz would win.
Lyle pushed Foreman off pretty easily when Foreman tried to tie him up while hurt. One way or another, Ruiz would have to stand and trade (or box) with Lyle at some point rather than pulling an octopus impression for the entire fight.
what the **** are you talking about? Lyle went toe to toe with Foreman, he'd ****ing massacre Ruiz unless the ref lets Ruiz hug him all night. This fight isn't even close.
I'm not picking Ruiz to KO him, and it wouldn't be anywhere near the fight that Lyle had with Foreman. I enjoyed your temper tantrum though:good
Ron Lyle destroys that cheating fraud. Lyle competed in the best era in HW history, and he didn't have to cheat to "win" his fights. No contest. Probably a Tua-style KO.
Who did Lyle ever stop outside of Shavers who had no stamina and little chin? His KO resume is not spectacular. And post-Tua, Ruiz was hard to hurt.
