ron lyle vs max baer.....

    a serious baer with no clowing around just all business can he handle lyles big shots?

    baer's chin was much better the lyle's. so both being strong big punchers, that is gonna make the difference i believe

    Baer is by far the more durable of the two and is clearly the bigger puncher.

    Lyles only chance would be to try to outbox Baer but he's not Jimmy Braddock in that department. I don't see him surviving 12 and he has very little chance over 15.

    Baer by KO at any time.

    I'll also take Max here but he is going to take some big punches on the way to his opening up until Ron finally drops. The kind of heavy shots Max would have taken in this bout wouldn't have done him any good.

    They would have traded bombs but I think Baer would have been lethal with that right..he would have taken Lyle's head off.
