It defintly would be worth watching, Lyle was powerful but mercer had a iron chin. My money's on Mercer by t.k.o mind rounds
Great match-up and a tough call. A real pick ‘em bout, IMO. Strange, but I couldn’t help but think that Lyle would probably have fought Mercer the way Lewis should have. And, if he does, he wins by decision.
Mercer by sixth round stoppage ,after having a blistering attack from Lyle .Mercer would have everything thrown at him ,but keep coming forward .
Lyle by decision. Mercer was way too inactive and Lyle was durable enough that Mercer isnt pulling this out with a stoppage. His three best wins are Cooper, Morrison, and Witherspoon. I thought Spoon beat him and I dont think Cooper or Morrison were in Lyles class.
