I was wracking my brain over this one and can't pick a winner. Would be a very entertaining fight as they wouldn't have to look for each other.
Mercer by knockout. I honestly don't see Lyle having a chance unless he quit before he came into the bout.
Y’all are probably going to think I’ve either lost my mind or am a hypocrite after calling Lyle overrated so much, but I have a gut feeling and it may be the bad Mexican food I had for supper that this is a winnable fight for Lyle (who I’ve never called a jabroni or a bad fighter, just that people get ahead of their skis about who historically he could compete with).
I’m surprised this didn’t get more responses, what a fight this would be, Mercer is better in every way other than power, better boxer, better jab, bigger/stronger, better chin. Mercer would win, but it would be a great fight, and it would be the few instances where the fight is fought on the outside where it gets decided, which is where Mercer is much better.
