How would Bowe do against a Pre-Foreman Lyle?

The Bowe who beat Holyfield the first time vs whatever version of Lyle is the best, wins in a tough fight. Both men were well battle tested but Bowe was a notch above and the edge in size and chin.

I think these two would have a very good action packed fight. I'd expect both to do some damage but eventually Bowe would put some serious hurt on Lyle likely with an over hand right or an uppercut and Lyle would get backed up against the ropes or into a corner where Bowe would pound away on him finishing him off.

Bowe had a better skill set than Lyle, and would have the edge. Riddick would know he was in a fight though, as Lyle was one tough customer.

The fight could only go 1 of 2 ways, Lyle by KO, or Bowe on points, Riddick had a pretty good beard, so he's a 60-40 favorite to win on points as long as he fights a smart fight, and dosen't get into a slugfest...

Agreed, Bowe was better all round imo.

I dunno, i think Bowe would get rocked a bit in the first 1-2 rounds, after that he takes Lyle apart.

IMO, Bowe seemed to have a habit of 'sleeping' in the first round or 2, he did this vs Cooper and Hide.

On all evidence probably a late stopage for Bowe at his peak he was relentless. He was too easy to hit though for his own good. Lyle was decent but didnt beat much and lost his big fights although performed with credit.

I would have to go with Bowe here by decision

Bowe by late stoppage. Lyle was a beast but Bowe has the advantage in size, skill, power
and they both had unstoppable heart. Bowe picks Lyle apart, but gets hurt or dropped
by a right hand, overcomes and stops Lyle around 7. Bowe KO7 too big too polished.

Even if this turns into a bigger war than it has to, I don't think Lyle's got the finishing skills to get rid of Bowe before Riddick gets rid of him.

Lyle couldn't do what Golota did.

Especially if Bowe had futch in his corner, trained for real, and wasn't receiving systematic and repeated punches to the nuts. :good

Golota was simply more physically talented.
