Ron Lyle vs Sonny Liston primes

Nice matchup. Could go either way, with Liston winning a SD or Lyle TKOing him.

 

No chance of Sonny TKOing Ron, then? Sonny's only chance being a tight decision? I think you're selling Sonny a bit short, there, Claw.

If Ali TKOed Ron, however debatable the ending, Sonny could do likewise. And if it des go to the cards, Sonny had the jab to chalk up enough rounds so that this won't be a close one.

 

This is the same guy that says the 22-27-5 Scrap Iron was better than anyone Williams beat... despite being knocked out by ALL their common opponents.

I wouldn't take anything this guy says to seriously.

 

Liston was a major jump in class over Lyle ... he'd stop him ...

To be fair Richard M, neither did Lyle.

 

Very similar Fighters and characters. Could actually make for a bad fight. Sonny has the jab, the key to any fight but don't expect fireworks.

 

That’s not true. Lyle came from a very large and solid family. By his own admittance he simply went astray as a teen, the exception out of his brothers and sisters. No comparison to Liston there.

 

Were they ? No idea mate. Seemed he had a hard life.
