Who would you guys favor in a match up between Ron Lyle at his very best and Tony Tucker at his best. Both guys proved when at their best they could give the best in the world a very tough fight and even potentially win. Tucker is more a slick boxer puncher while Lyle is a more or less a puncher who had some boxing skills to go along with his power. I think it would make for a very interesting match up.

Cool matchcup. I think Tucker has the skills and the chin to win a close
but unanimous decision. Id favor Tucker, but bet on Lyle. Haha Lyle has
boxing skills and dynamite in his right hand, not to mention a granite maybe
iron chin in his prime. Tucker UD

I'd be rooting for Ron, but I think Tucker would probably edge him by decision.

Lyle on PTS that stronger will to win gives Lyle the edge here in a close fight

Tony T..strong choice for me.Lyle wouldnt put Tony away..TT went the distance with peak Tyson and Lewis...Tucker had all the tools...fought in a fantastic era...Lyles life story great..but he didnt have many top wins.

High Tony..i loved your curls..shame you damaged your hand against Tyson or you woulda whooped him...when was the hand damaged ?..there were so many versions of the tale...5 days before the fight ? 1 day before ? or was it when you hit him in the first round ? Maybe you injured it AFTER the fight when you kept hugging Mike while waiting for the scorecards..or maybe you injured it strangling your father when you found out he'd sold that many pieces of you there was no purse money left !! Ouch..

One thing for sure, i dont see Lyle stopping Tucker.

Tucker was never stopped by a peak Tyson nor a peak Lewis. that speaks volumes about how good Tucker was (or could have been).

Tucker outboxes and outpoints him en route to a wide UD.
