Headlining a Fite.tv internet PPV (a steal at $14.99), hilariously running opposite the Charlo vs. Castaño title bout on Showtime.

This isn't the same Ronald Cruz, btw, that upset Prenice Brewer and broke his brain (after losing a perfectly fair decision that he felt was unjust, Brewer threw a tantrum and occupied the ring going on a lengthy rambling tirade in which he claimed to know for sure that Manny Pacquiao was on steroids :dunno ...it was a bizarre TV moment), or later fought in losing efforts against Kermit Cintrón, Errol Spence Jr. and Dmitry Mikhaylenko). No, this Ronald Cruz has, quite the opposite, fought nobody with a pulse. No change in sight here, as 45 year old Gray is still riding on his own coattails for having been the one to pop Gabe Rosado's cherry in 2006. Gray's only victory of note besides that was over Carson Jones and even that was all the way back in 2008, before Kid Carson began improving and clawing his way into fringe contention. He now hasn't won a fight in over a decade - and hasn't fought period since 2015, with a record standing at 13-22-1 (1). Yes, one KO... in '04.

With matchmaking like this I'd love to see the Californian prospect, at 29 years old, get laid out for his second pro defeat (the first coming against Native American gatekeeper Ryan "Soft" Whitemountain, now 4-12-1, also with a single KO to his name) and first via stoppage. :sisi1
