Main event, SHO on Friday in Rochester, New York.

Undefeated prospect Ronald Ellis (15-0-2, 10 KOs) will fight DeAndre Ware (12-1-2, 8 KOs) in a 10 round fight for the vacant NABA Super Middleweight Title, vacant USBO Super Middleweight Title AND the vacant WBC Continental Americas Super Middleweight Title. So three "titles" on the line for both.

Ellis has two draws on his record, both vs. durable opposition like Junior Younan and Jerrey Odom (has a solid amateur background, lost to Caleb Plant and Marcus Browne in the amateurs). Ellis' record is padded as ****, best win might be Christopher Brooker but Brooker himself is considered as nothing special imo.

On the other side DeAndre Ware. He beat heavy handed Enrique Collazo, a 2012 Olympian who gave his comeback fight vs. Ware after being out for 1,5 years, in a close decision.

According to the stats Ellis has a slight advantage in height and also an advantage in reach but obviously those numbers are not always correct.

Paper-wise this is a close matchup i think. I do not rate Ellis at all so i am a bit surprised by the one-sided odds here as Ware being a +400 underdog at the books.

    Thoughts? Matchup? Who wins?

Ellis close UD/SD. He was a great amateur and had some serious problems at the beginning of his career. He has a younger brother named Rashidi, who again, was a very decorated amateur in his own right but will definitely be the better pro between the 2. They also have a sister named Rashida who is a damn good female amateur boxer. Rashidi -- how's nickname is "speedy," might have the fastest hands in boxing at the moment right alongside Khan and GRJ.

FWIW, I HIGHLY doubt Ronald will ever come close to reaching his enormous potential. He also looks small for a SMW, I think he would be better off competing at MW.

@CST80 Do you calling the upset bro? :aplastao:

I am really tempted by taking Ware here at high odds because i do not think he is worse than Jerry Odom or Junior Younan tbh. But on the other side it's possible Ellis will have a breakthrough fight as he isn't that bad although he won't make it to the top level.

Considering both fighters were involved in many, many close fights (4x draws alone combined) i think this will be much closer than odds will let us think.

This will probably end up being another hard to split close SD type match, neither man is all that great, so yea, a win by Ware isn't out of the question, I don't rate Ellis very high, but its in Ellis' neck of the woods, and I doubt either man will KO the other, so if it were me, I'd play it safe with this one. It''l probably end up being a SD for Ellis. He's the A-side here.
