Ronald Hearns vs. Erislandy Lara, Las Vegas, Feb. 11th.

Hearns is being fed to Lara, who is two levels above Ronald.

Hearns is not getting a tv fight because of is accomplishments. I like Ronald, cool guy, but he was never a legit top 20-30 JMW. Sturm fought Hearns because of his name. When they did the press for that fight, they had almost as much of his dad as they did Ronald. I've been watchin Ronald fight from the begining of his career with hopes that he would suddenly turn into a fraction of what his dad was. Sadly his career is as much circus as it is serious. Now he had that freak fight with Sturm, they use that to justify this fight. He shouldn't be in the ring with Lara period, about 30 other JMW's who deserve it more and who would do better.

 

Lara is feather fisted but Hearns has one of the worst Glass Jaws in the sport. Lara by brutal and embarrassing early KO.

I got Lara in 4. As far as Lara being feather-fisted that's a joke. He may not be a McClelan but he's got pop. If you get that from the Williams fight, understand Paul was more than ten pounds heavier than Lara.

No, I got it from watching the majority of his fights and seeing him fail to KO anybody but bums and has-beens. Williams has a Glass Jaw and was brutally KOed by a blown-up WW with a 50% KO rate and yet Lara was able to beat the **** out of him and never put him on his ass. Big guy or not, Williams should have been hurt far worse by that many flush shots because light hitting guys have hurt him before.

I still like the guy and he is an outstanding Boxer, but you are delusional if you think that he's proven that he has real power.
