Got the job done. Clavette was pretty durable and made it ugly. Started to show serious vulnerability in the 5th, Hearns got rid of him by the end of the sixth (any longer than that would have raised eyebrows). B+ Hearns is coming along as a combination puncher, he just needs to learn to cope with guys inside his comfort zone. His close-range defense is still ass.
Good. I gotta root for him because I'm a tommy hearns fan and would love to see his son do well. What do ya'll give his chances of getting by duddy?
6'3 154lbs is quite impressive weight wise. Anyway, he needs to work his inside defense, cause Clavette still caught him when he got in range. Very good boxer though.
