Unfortunately for young Ronald, the Hitman gene skipped a generation:hey People are always going to compare him to his father, and he will never be able to live up to that. However, his name will probably get him some good opporunities.
He's taking a minor step up on ShoBox against Harry Joe Yorgey who's coming off of his best win.... Unlike Harry, who likes to get drunk and ride around, Hearns seems like he's going places... I expect him to win... As for how he'll do at 154, it'll be determined after he gets in there with some tough guys like a Tsurkan... somebody who'll test his toughness... Angulo was able to go toe to toe with tsurkan and deliver a one sided beating.... in the meantime Yuri Foreman narrowly escaped.... and in the mean time again, Camacho Jr had him early but caved in... He may be a guy who will let us see which one of those scenarios could play out if Hearns is in there...
I think he has potential with his height and reach, but no experience. His father had so much more experience with amateur fights when he had the same amount of pro fights. Also Tommy was 19 or 20 when he had the pro fights Ronald does, Ronald is in his late 20's I think. Ronald needs many more fights to get to a title shot and they are not getting him the experience. They should stop comparing him to his great father and just try to make him his own man. Same goes for Chavez Jr and comparing him to his father.
