ight... i juss figured out he existed about last month, been trying to find his fights, was unsucessful.. and seeing how Thomas Hearns is my all time favorite... i'd like to no if he son's as good as he as?... so yeah, is he any good?... apple didnt fall far from da tree? or is he not worth lookin for?
he is said to be pretty good he is just a bit to old to peak so there wont be a prime...i think he will do well but he isnt getting managed well
Dude, seriously, he was on ESPN 2 last year I think it was, and I swear I thought it was one of Tommies old video's. that's how much they favor in looks and build! Oh and Ronald's got a very nice over hand right, not as good, but it's getting there!
i saw him fight on the pavlik-taylor undercard, no tommy hears although he did ave a good right hand, but i dont think he`ll make it to the tommy hearns level.
ight ight. preciate it.. and yeah, i saw a picture of folk, he's tall and built like him.. just needed to know if he fought like him, hope da best for him... the world could use another hitman hearns, ya dig?
He looks good, coming on, but he's getting a late, late start. He's open, he's there to be hit, but he has punching. I love the story of how he got started. All through his teenage years he was trying to get involved in boxing, but his old man wanted him to go through college get a degree, all of that there. Tommy keeps slinging Ronnie out of the gyms, locking him out, giving his boys instructions to ignore him stuff like that. All the time the kid is training on his own. Goes all the way college. Gets his degree. Pop tells him, "This is the proudest moment of my life." Kid says thanks. Next day, Tommy turns up at the gym bright and early. There's Ronnie, sitting on the steps. Tommy asks him, "what are you doing", Ronnie says, "I did everything you asked me to do, now I want to box." Tommy lets him in the gym. For six months they only work on the jab in the mirror.
i'ves seen him fight a couple of times. same fight sytyle as his old man. just does'nt have the same athleticism, handspeed and power.
I've seen him fight twice against guys with losing records who took blatent dives. Hard to say from what I saw about how he looks. He started late in the fight game due to his dad's insistence that he get an education.
I knew the story went something like that, but I never heard the stuff about working 6 months on the jab only. That's cool that Tommy wanted Ron to get an education before he put on any gloves
not at all...he is the moter city cobra:good oh looked at boxrec and for some reason he is called "the chosen one":deal  not pretentouis or anything
Thomas Hearns was cut from a special mold. Ronald got a later start, but has done well:good I'd like to see Bute vs Hearns in say 2 or 3 years. The younger Hearns just needs to work hard and walk his own path. It's too early to say what he'll become, but there's only 1 way to get there, keep fighting.
"The Chosen One"? I didn't believe it at first but I've checked it for myself. Personally, I would have stuck with "Motor City Cobra" but he's his own man, probably trying to put some distance between his father's image and his own. Still, nice string of KO's he has going. One thing he has to do is start facing some better opposition though. His next opponent is 8-8-3
I saw him fight live and in person: 1. Kirk "Movie Star" Douglas who was 10-10 when Hearns fought him. 2. Daniel "The Drain Man" Neal who was 9-16-1. Both took dives against him. It was a disgrace. Especially Neal. Got grazed with a jab and flopped like a WWE superstar.
