when you have the crowd "oo'ing and ahh'ing" over jabs, you know you're on so I too will have to go with his absolute schooling of Trinidad. If he justhad a bit more pop or chose to really sit down on his punches he would have had him out of there by the 11
I loved his fights with Vargas & Jermain Taylor very exciting fights where Wright showed his toughness and skills. Tito was a great performance but he didn't open up much besides his jab.... whereas against Taylor and Vargas he was blasting them with combos to the head and body and just banging away very impressive sh*t !
I'll be in the minority and say against Shane. Tito was less than one dimensional against Winky and just proved that my boy Hops probably beat the passion for the game out Tito years ago. Styles make fights and to me Winky wouldve beat a prime Tito but maybe Tito wouldve at least of won 2-3 rds rather than every minute of every round like he did. At least Shane tried to attack Winky with different angles and probably squeezed out 3-4 rds.
Anyone seen his fight with Soliman? The judges scored it pretty close....now THAT would have been an upset! I havn't seen it, though
That was a bizarre fight. Soliman is bizarre fighter. I think Winky was a bit confused by what was happening.
I would have to say Trinidad cause it was shutout but he was brave enough against Taylor to come forward and corner him. His best moment obviously technically shutting down Mosley twice in a row... Problem is to make out Ronald Wright's performances one from the other, the guy pumps the right jab first, slips n slides all over you, breaks the action or covers himself with that high arm defensive shell of his and comes all over again :barf boring ourselves to death I'm afraid to say. I love watching that fight. Winky Clearly won, but was put way off by Solimans style and never really looked comfortable. Winky tried to work out a way to get into a groove but nothing worked consistantly. He did land the cleaner harder shots. When winky is landing the harder shots you know something is up. Anyway really entertaining fight and props to Soliman for giving a great effort.
Sometimes Winkys style can be boring but Talor V Winky was one of the most exciting fights i've seen.
Tito lost but for me he nevertheless never gave up. Matter of fact, I gave Tito all the credit for seeking a fight with Wright in the first place, when everybody else were avoiding Wright. In terms of warrior spirit, Tito is still ahead in my list over DLH.
