Well Rhonda f'ed up, she should have fought Wawrzyk or Molina not some Brazilian killer. She's packing glass.
Yep, in Ronda's defence Nunes is like the golovkin/kovalev of wmma. Punches ridiculously hard for a woman. Edmond hit the lottery when Ronda walked into his gym. She probably made a millionaire out of him for nothing.
The quality of women's MMA is still low . The talent pool is small providing lopsided matches . Nunes is the exception being well rounded with power . Rousey if she continues needs to kick her trainer out the door but he has some kind of weird mental grip on her from insiders reports . Rousey has zero boxing skills , the Frankenstein defence with head up , arms out and stationary just doesn't work .... not even a little . Nunes the Champion belt holder , had a walk in the park for an easy 200k but Rousey , the challenger , got 3 million to get embarrassed which further shows the UFC is all about hype not about fighters getting properly paid . Women's MMA still has a long way to go
All Ronda did was get hit in the face with punches. Wait another a few more punches while she is out on her feet and obviously couldn't defend herself, she is brutally getting laid out again , like Holm did. Great stoppage, it saved her from unnecessarily getting brutally knocked out and hurt.
When I watch judo it's usually two people grabbing each other's loose clothes more than anything. That doesn't work in mma where there is no gi. Apparently, people who practice no-gi jiu jitsu, like Eddie Bravo's Tenth Planet, do very poorly at competitions for just this reason. It's kind of interesting that you can see a lot of the same techniques in the Italian and German fight books of the 15th to 17th centuries, where people figured out ways to use people's clothing against them in a fight.
You make a number of excellent points, as usual, but that bullrush at 8:55 wasn't out of frustration. Ronda did that because she knew she was losing and she didn't have much time left on the clock. The match ends right after that. It was sort of the equivalent of a "Hail Mary" pass in football, a very long forward pass made out of desperation with little chance of success, but you might as well do it because you'll lose otherwise.
This just goes to show what an achievement it was for Tyson to recover from the Douglas loss and how badly people underestimate how he came back from that beating. Even Lenny for that matter. It takes great character to bounce back from a bad loss. Once you lose confidence thats it in the fight game.
Whatever hopefully you use this new year to change your ways now stop conversing with me I have no wish to communicate with you any longer
