...unless, Holly says "go to hell with your rematch, I'm going to go make a bit less money (but still considerably bigger than any of my previous boxing paydays) and do my original sport a favor..."

Yes, I am a boxing aficionado. Truth be told, MMA has evolved for the men and will evolve for the women so this won't happen so easily. Take any of the boxing world champions now and they will struggle against the wrestling / kicking champions.

WTF would Klitschko do? He uses hugging to his advantage. He would have nowhere to hide against a decent HW like Mark Hunt who could take his shots long enough to smash him.

I have never known in all my years that a women is compared to a great male boxer in terms of people actually believing that female would win. I'm not ***ist, I'm a big fan of women doing sports, but theres a hell of a difference when comparing women to men. To me, women shouldn't be compared to men. Let the women do their thing and be the best for women, because it's just not right comparing great women at sports to great men at sports.

She should negotiate for more money for the rematch, and if she doesn't get what she wants, THEN she can say, "the hell with you"!

Vitaly dominated boxing but was originally a kickboxer does that mean kickboxing is superior?

Why even bother? Why risk getting caught in the armbar in the rematch and having people write off her 1st win as just a fluke?

She can still, between Rousey I and the Braekhus super-fight in boxing, in the span of two fights make oodles more than she did in her previous entire combat sports career - and that's boxing, kickboxing and MMA - all combined.

...and sharing her newfound celebrity with Braekhus to help give her an international media push (and Cece is far more deserving of it than Rousey) would be a boon to boxing, to which she owes everything.

She was coming forward getting tagged time and time again and she didn't even try and do something different, she did the same thing that just wasn't working. Great fighters, they're able to adapt to situations, but Ronda seemed she only had one gameplan and that gameplan failed miserably. She tried to outbox the boxer. Silly. Her corner seemed pretty clueless aswell telling her to carry on doing what she's doing.

Not when you consider that he was KTFO by Pele Reid in kickboxing, no. Kickboxing gave him a good foundation for his unconventional boxing stance & style that brought him to success, but he was definitely more suited to boxing than kickboxing.

You do know klitschko was a great kickboxer and would have no problem with Mark hunt who is below him in every department

Depends in what you're talking about. If you're talking about streetfights, then yeah of course I would say it's superior, you're perfecting more than one art, which is punching. In terms of boxing alone, then no, I wouldn't say it's superior. If you're training for kickboxing compared to a person that is training just for boxing, putting his 100% focus on punching etc, then obviously I would favour the boxer in the boxing ring. With Vitali, what you had was a guy that had a very unusual style that was hard to beat. Plus he had a great chin, good heart and was mentally very strong. His boxing technique was flawed though, it's just that those flaws made him awkward.

    Wut?

I wouldn't use Mark Hunt as your example to prove your point. He is a striker.

If he was in boxing he would be a big slow slugger just like Alex Leapai..

That didn't go well for Wlad did it..

Klitschko was never dropped in kickboxing or boxing. He didn't like kicks to the thighs that much though

She deserves the pay day. Plus Rhonda gave her a shot. Nobody will believe that it was a fluke because it was so one sided. She can't just run back to boxing. And I don't believe Rhonda wins the rematch, but she deserves one.
