just realised that ronnie 'the shark' clark is taking on another undefeated prospect anthony cacace on the undercard of josh taylor in edinburgh. they are fighting a 10 round celtic title fight and i really fancy ronnie to finally get a win against one of these prospects. ive looked at cacaces record and i know he is a good boxer but he has so far not boxed anyone of note whereas ronnie has drew with maxi hughes/ryan walsh and been unlucky against troy james/craig evans. i think that extra experience will help ronnie get the win and with it being in edinburgh instead of ireland i think that is another big factor! ronnie points. thoughts?
I hope Ronnie wins this one but he needs the proper preparation if he's going to beat Cacace who will have all the good sparring and coaching at his disposal
Ronnie will be getting top sparring with Lewis Ritson and Jason Easton to aid him in this fight, so he should be in top Nick for it
I do expect big things from cacace and if he can do that at this point in his career it would send a loud message out
that would be a big statement from cacace, i remember speaking to ronnie and his brothers and im sure they claim he has never been dropped in sparring/boxing matches or in any of his kickboxing matches.
To be fair he's hardly been mixing it with anyone of note. A lot of the scottish guys seem to have a high opinion of Clark, has always seemed v average whenever I have seen him. Cacace for me here.
I've got to agree with Fra on this one. Cacace is a very slick and skilful boxer. He is a huge SFW. Clarke to get KO'd in the late rounds
Id say a must win for clark if he has british title ambition. Away draws i like wins but the truth is wen his stepped up he hasnt won. If he loses this fight where does his career go. His tough and game and i like his attitude hope he pulls it off.
Is this superfight on Sky Box Office, Sky Sports, BT, Eurosport, Channel 5, ITV or Boxnation's newly branded loadofshyte channel?
In fairness you have Josh, jason easton, ronnie fighting the highly rated irish guy and a few other young prospects. for a non tv show looking good value for money
Josh Taylor's 2nd fight doesn't look easy! Against an opponent with 15 wins 5 loses over 6 rounds
