Thought the same thing. I'll be watching. Its a chance for Vassell to break away from domestic bouts or Heffron to show he is a top domestic with more potential.

I genuinely think that Heffron might stop Vassell

Can't see that, if he could not even hurt his last opponent, Vassell is a beast, can't understand why they took this fight, only a boxer will beat Vassell, man against boy.

Massive step up. Sink or swim for Heffron and I'm not liking his chances.

I think heffron needed this, a step up and hopefully see a vast improvement from his last performance
I think heffron can definitely win this 1, tough fight though

TBH it was only the other week we was talking about Vassell being awol now he's fighting Heffron within a month?. I agree wrimc it's a dodgy bill..

I will side with Vassell on this, Heffron needs to be more thoughtful with his work. Saying that Vassell went life and death with a then basic Purdy. Haven't seen a lot of Vassell since never been overly impressed but i think his experience and more thoughtful work prevails in this one.

In fairness to Heffron, I think the 77-76 scorecard was a bit of a joke.

Apart from round 7 where he was hit hard several times, I always felt that he was dictating the fight to McDonagh, who's a hard man, very seldom gets hurt never mind stopped.

Still, he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes and continues to pile forward throwing all sorts. You can't fault the lad's enthusiasm, but ****ing hell, needs to reign it in a little bit otherwise he'll be knocked out before he reaches championship class.

Vassell's had some very solid wins at Commonwealth level. So long as his layoff hasn't affected him too badly, I favour him

Allegedly clearly wants to make Heffron vs Gavin at the earliest opportunity, so to do it he's going to have to accelerate Heffron somewhat.

Arnie must tear his hair out (what's left of it :hey) because he just seems to make the same mistakes every fight and get drawn into a tear up when there's no need.

He's probably ideal sparring for an experienced fighter because of his endless enthusiasm but when he's fighting himself he makes it unnecesarily difficult....

Contrast his development to that of Butler at the same gym, one is a championship class performer who looks polished, the other is seriously raw and has a lot of things to improve on - that he ought to have sorted by now.
