A kid with one Irish parent and one British parent has every right to represent both flags. It's not a political statement, and having both flags does not have to be a contradiction. You can be respectful for both sides of your heritage without insulting one or the other.

Some people will have long memories, or terrible things. For people who feel that way, the mix of flags is an oxymoron they cant get their heads around.

For young lads of heavy irish extraction who were born and raised in England, (parents, both grandparents etc) the mix is something they can identify with and feel proud of, its wrong to 'condemn' them as the poster has done for simply being born into the situation.

All flags on shorts should be stopped. Its a cheap way to garner some support imo regardless of what country you come from.
