    Buster Mathis was fat.

Marvin Hagler fought as a pro, bald.

    Ike Ibeabuchi was mad.

Tommy Hearns had a big right hand.

Sonny Liston had an excellent jab.

    Anthony Hembrick missed the bus.

    Primed Muhammad Ali was fast.

You see this is right from the horses mouth. This is what Im talking about all the time when I describing certain fighters not being shape. It doesnt matter what their weight was, if they dont take the weight off by boxing training it doesnt mean they are in shape. These guys like Tua and Bowe who had a lot of talent but didnt keep their boxing fitness up.
Tua was in shape in the early parts of his career, because he was fighting so often. He was active, so he didnt have time to get out of boxing shape. When he left Main Events that all went away.

    Well said. :good

For instance, It's like when i try to tell people Bowe had better conditioning at 246lbs & 243lbs for Holy II & Gonzalez fights, than his badly weight-drained 235lbs for Golota II.

You cannot compare David Tua with Riddick Bowe. No matter how light Tua was in his early career days, he was & will never be anywhere near as good a talent as what Bowe was.

Bowe, under the guidance of the late, great, Eddie Futch, was in shape 7 ready to go. You only have to watch the first encounter with Holyfield - see the pace Bowe set, to know he was in shape!

Their lack of discipline is the only similarity I see between the Two!

Thats the point I was making and I think both of accomplished alot more had they had that discipline to stay in better shape.

Exactly. He was in horrible shape for both Golota fights. The last time he was in top shape was for Gonzalez.
