Canelo is a great prospect, but I wish they hadn't handed him that belt so early. He didn't earn it and it puts pressure on him to take on bigger challengers than he perhaps is ready for. Still a great talent and good to watch.

I've always said that Canelo if properly trained and managed can be the best for years to come.Giving him a belt didn't help, just put too much pressure on him. After Mosley he's gonna have to deal with a real contender, either JK,Lara,Williams,Cotto or Floyd himself. Then he's gonna be really tested.I believe he beats JK and Williams, goes down in good fights against Lara and cotto and gets whooped by Floyd .

I still believe Lara is an easier fight for canelo than most think because of his beating of Williams... but he doesn't bring much to the table to face him... Kirkland brings an exciting style and black American fans...

I do wish he was facing Lara even though canelo hasn't peaked I think lara can bring out the best in him...

As a boxing fan, I want to see him face all of the above mentioned.

I honestly don't think Canelo is ducking anyone, I feel like they've brought him along perfectly. They've brought him to the doorstep of world class boxing.

Mosley is a great fight to make his mini splash onto the world boxing scene. From here on out, I believe he'll get world class opposition, as Mosley isn't what he used to be, but if healthy, is no cakewalk.

Doc I know you are a a Canelo's fan and you know I root for Lara, but I'll bet my house if they ever fight, Canelo's style is made for a counter puncher with power like Lara, he will not touch him and will get clocked and either stopped or the corner will jump and stop the punishment... The gap and boxing ability, technique and experience is abysmal, Canelo is a prospect that's all he is, Lara is a finished product with a well of boxing talent, right now he will get demolished, down the line with the proper development he could have a chance.

2 biased fans will never agree but are you telling me that the only way canelo has a chance is if he is developed properly, given time to peak only then does he a stand a chance? Come on now u aint that deluded r u lol... Lara IMO is at peak right now age physical, skills, lacks pro experience and is I'd say below canelo in that respect, so I would never talk down Lara's ability he is a great fighter but to say he would demolish canelo is biased as **** but I get it you are same way as i am... this fight is 50/50 give it some time once canelo has peaked and Lara stands no chance... Lara's best chance is to take on canelo as an inexperienced coming up kid the longer they wait the more beast canelo will get and the less chances Lara has.
