Personally, I think that is BAD news. Low hands, poor footwork tend to be his fighters trademark quality.
That does worry me a bit but I'm banking on Lara's deep background to fall back on and not what Shields has been teaching him.
Lara's biggest problem in this fight is going to be how he likes to just keep his hands up when his opponent engages on the inside. Lara likes to linger around the ropes in certain instances and this is when Canelo will be able to do damage. Lara could conceivably outbox Canelo but I just don't see him NOT reverting to some bad habits he has. Canelo just has to capitalize on those mistaks.
Canelo definitely has the power and explosive combo punching to take Lara out if he has Lara on the ropes. That's why Lara has to keep it at the center of the ring and keep boxing and moving. On the plus side for Lara, Canelo has never been much of a pressure fighter, has slow foot speed and bad stamina. Lara is also taller and longer with superior hand speed/foot speed. But yeah, if Lara stays on the ropes a lot, he could be in trouble.
How did Angulo land those punches on Lara that almost put him out, and not just he two knock downs? How did he land those punches?
Overrated by who exactly? McGirt used to be a running joke on this site and I've heard very few people ever say anything positive about Shields.
