I saw him today in the Olympics boxing at Junior Welterweight I believe. I was pretty impressed. Only 20 years old and he was setting up some very nice combos. He is 5' 10" fighting at 140 pounds. That's pretty damn tall at that weight. I can see him coming up big time in a few years. Any one else see this cat?
I commented about him in the Olympic thread. I agree, I came away quite impressed. He's got great skills for a 20 year old and the athletic ability to match.
He was very very good. Good height for his weight, and he knows how to fight tall. Looks very balanced and controlled almost 100% of the time. He was only 20? I expect to see him making some noise in the next few years (granted he defects) Andrade was very impressive in his 2nd bout as well. I think he has potential
Do you think it's probable that he will defect? It's not like every great Cuban amateur follows the path of Casamayor or Gamboa.
