I see rory taking this one easy. Both are well rounded but i think rory will be too strong for condit. Plus the fight is in macdonalds hometown. Closefight goes to macdonald.

Really? Maybe I am overrating Condit, but I see him being the more technical stand up fighter and the all around better grappler.

I will look again before I comment more strongly.

Standup is about equal with rory being the better boxer and condit using more knees and kicks. On the ground rory is way to versitile for condit. Rorys jui jitsu is just as good or better than condits. Rorys wrestling is his stregth and condits takedown defense is poor. Look at his last two fights, kammpman and ellenberger. Condit had problems controlling them from his guard. Rory is alot more technical and stronger then those guys. If condit cant one punch him hes gonna be on his back all night. I think rory submits him or wins a wide ud. Ive seen condit fight 6x aswell. I just think rory is too physical for condit. Did you see how rory took jokers punch....recovered and took him right down with ease. Joker is a physical guy. Condit is in trouble.

I saw that a bit differently. I saw as a guy who was hurt, let off the hook somewhat, then scrambled for a leg or something to grab hold of to stop an onslaught. He did recover pretty well though. However if Condit hurts him like that, I think he'd be finished.

Like you I think Condit's poor takedown d will be a problem for him in this fight and Rory will be a major pain in the arse for him when he's on top. But still I see Condit as the more technical striker and I think he should be able to score enough points standing to pull out a win, maybe a stoppage. This will definitely be close though and is one of the underrated fights on the card imo.

We will see if condit can hurt him. Joker is alot stonger then condit, punching and wrestling. I say condit is on his back all night and gets stopped or rory wins a wide ud.

There's more to striking than punches. It will be Condit's kicks and knees as well that would most likely do the damage, especially if he can maintain a clinch where his lanky frame is extremely useful. Plus he doesn't have to hurt him to beat him. I think you are selling Condit short here. He is better than Mike Guymon and if Rory Macdonald does beat him, he will really have to fight to do so......unless Macdonald is much better than I anticipate.

I think macdonald is gonna take him right down and keep condit on his back the whole fight. Macdonald is a beast.

Well in the first round, it appears you have an eye for talent, he is doing very well.

To be honest I thought you meant Rory Singer at first; Condit would definitely handle Singer, then realized he was Canadian and thought you meant Jason MacDonald.

Lets see how this turns out.

Rory folded as soon as he got hit with a big shot it was purely a beating in the 3rd.

I'm a fan of Condit, but I reckon the ref could have let that go to the judges. There was only a few seconds left. Excellent fight regardless.

Macdonald put in a very good account of himself. His boxing looked pretty damn good for mixed martial artist with accurate straight punches and his takedowns were pretty good as well. But he got his arse kicked big time in the final round. Total domination; Condit was ruthless. Look forward to seeing Macdonald again.

    Tough, tough break.

To be fair to Condit, he did really put it on him at the end. If there was like 2 minutes left it would have seemed fair. As is, it was hard to take but probably right.

I think his orbital broke man, tad harsh to say he folded as soon as he got hit.

Did you not hear him just say it? They way it looked to me he did. Then in the interview 10 seconds ago he admitted he was hurt right at the start of the 3rd and got pummeled from then on.
