Rosado looks a full weight class bigger than David at the weigh-in?

Wasn't Rosado like 164 on fight night vs Golovkin? he wasn't a full blown middleweight then. he got visibly much bigger in the Quillin fight

It's just the eyebrows. They give an optical illusion of physical sturdiness.

According to DNA ahnalysis most people have up to 5 or 6 percent Neanderthal DNA..... Rosado would beg to differ.

:lol::lol: You have been really unloading on Gaybe these past couple weeks. I put some vcash on him because I liked the value and hope his surplus of Neanderthal DNA can pull him through.

Lemieux has good power early ... it would be a mistake to trade with him for the first 4 or 5 rounds , you gotta box him , use the 1-2 , and get him turning , keep him at distance. Rosado has been carefully picked for Lemieux , fighting in Lemieux's hometown . If this goes past the fourth round I will be surprised.

Should Lemieux win I'd like to see him fight someone like Daniel Geale or Felix Sturm . Then if he wins , GGG would be ok

    Golovkin 173 - Rubio 181

    Golovkin 170 - Macklin 170

    Golovkin 168 - Proksa 166

IIRC, Golovkin was 167 for Rosado.

Rosado said he weighed 164 for Golovkin (''I only came in at 164 for Golovkin, and I’m pretty sure he was bigger the day of the fight.'') but beforehand him and his people were saying Golovkin was going to be surprised by his size and how big he was.

'Doubters note that Rosado has been fighting recently at junior middleweight. His co-promoter, Russell Peltz of Main Events, cautions us not to fall pray to that reasoning.

"Rosado is bigger than Golovkin," said Peltz, who expects Rosado to dictate the pace and believes his kid is the best foe Golovkin has fought.'

    Rosado's trainer:

''To me he (Rosado) has always been a MW who's been blessed to make '54. But he's the biggest '54 I've ever seen'' --- Billy Briscoe

Don't forget that Golovkin actually offered to meet Rosado at a catch weight and Rosado rejected it.

World ranked challenger “King” Gabriel Rosado was incredulous when he discovered that his world championship bout against WBA/IBO Middleweight World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin set for JANUARY 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City would be fought at a catch weight of 158.

“The first I heard about the catch weight was at the media lunch on December 1, I never asked for it, that was my advisor Russell Peltz’s idea” said Rosado. “I’m happy Russell is looking out for my best interests but we’re fighting at 160.”

“Golovkin is the champion and out of respect to him and towards the sport of boxing we will fight at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds. When I beat him, I don’t want any excuses about the extra two pounds he had to lose. I will beat him at his best, fair and square.” Even though Rosado looks physically much bigger than Golovkin, he has fought the majority of his professional bouts at the junior middleweight limit of 154 pounds.

“The old-timers didn’t need any catch weights, they were real men. Middleweight champions fight at 160 and that’s what I want.”

In accordance with Rosado’s wishes the contract for the world championship bout will be amended to the middleweight limit of 160.

“I don’t want there to be any excuses,” Rosado said, predicting what Golovkin might say if Gaby were to pull the upset at 158 pounds. “I don’t want there to be any questions. I think I’m a middleweight that can still make junior middleweight. But this is a middleweight fight and I want the fight at 160. I think I’m going to be stronger in the fight (at the higher weight).”

''Everyone is talking about how big his punch is. I think they are underestimating my power. I definitely have punching power. I can knock you out. I think with the extra weight at 160 I am going to be much stronger."

Rosado has got bigger though. Like I said, he was 175 on the night against Quillin.
