I just wonder if Rosado waiting to use this as an excuse now and not before has anything to do with him signing with Showtime and not HBO?
If it were not for the Hands of Concrete Margarito debacle this would have been ridiculed and rejected already. I would say that there isn't much opportunity to cheat with the gloves now, fighters and trainers are looking closely.
i'm pretty sure it was the mayweather fight where the opponent complained about his gloves so he switched them.
i'd say most in this thread do not have a clue about gloves....how they're manufactured...and the ease at which a person can be fooled by their appearance. just because the commission approves them doesn't mean jack. the ppl that work for the commission are not experts on glove manufacturing either. all gloves are made different. bag gloves....sparring gloves etc. the foam density is different. the padding is distributed differently depending on brand and style. 10oz gloves are very small gloves. weighing them would not be enough. if the majority of the foam is on the wrist...that is what u call a punchers glove. it's not illegal to have them...but u will certainly feel the difference delivering or receiving the punch. u can look at the photos from their fight and tell that the gloves were made differently. also...there's no telling what was done in the locker room with the glove. i can tell u that i've been in locker rooms when hands were being wrapped and sometimes the things ppl do to gloves before a match can be suspect. i've seen guys put gloves on and punch walls to break them in. if the foam is a less dense foam....it will break down quicker and it's like being punched bare knuckle. rosado is the man putting his life on the line when he steps into the squared ring...not u keyboard warriors....so he has every right to say what ever he wants about what he felt was wrong. i'm sure he's losing sleep over some of u losing respect for him as well.
You're post has no merit because you're a hater. Your whole argument is that GGG has an eye for suspect gloves that give him extra power like a fighter can wear whatever he wants to the ring without the commission checking for regulation. Remember duface, GGG is fighting in rosado's country, if anyone would cheat it would be rosado. He ran when he felt the power and so will stevens next saturday. I'm sure you will have a built in excuse for that too.
So what you are saying is props to Rosado, a professional fighter for an 9 month late attempt to discredit Grant, whose reputation is on the line and whose client Rosado is as well, and GGG who never shown any sign of a cheater, has a golden reputation, is always respectful and brings sportsmanship back to the boxing scene? Check Grant's response to Rosado low blow allegations: http://www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Steve-102513.htm
Read the Grant PR, Rosado slandering the company that makes his gloves (both GGG and Rosado wear Grant gloves). Rosado's team and the NYSAC inspected Golovkin's gloves before the fight. GGG's team even told Rosado to go ahead and choose any pair of GGG's gloves if Rosado wanted to wear 'em (GGG's gloves) in the fight. Rosado's team tried out the gloves but ultimately refused the offer. 9 Months later the fruity one starts slandering Grant & GGG & the NYSAC.
Golovkin did not need a tampered glove to beat Rosado.............he had 350 amateur fights, has always punches with speed, skill and power!!!
