Dejesus mostly struggled with guys that could muscle him, and bigger stronger guys. Rosario was a superb boxer when he wanted to be but Dejesus is better and i think he hits hard enough to discourage Chapo. Rosario could be a bit of a frontrunner. Dejesus by decision.
Rosario is my 2nd favorite PR fighter of all time behind Benitez. But having said that, DeJesus stops him late. Better technician, tougher, meaner. Rosario obviously was a bigger puncher, but it's not as if DeJesus couldn't crack. DeJesus TKO 11.
DeJesus went 2-5 against guys who held world titles. Rosario batted around .500. I'll take Rosario by KO.
As I stated in the Mancini thread, only two guys who beat a prime DeJesus were Duran and Cervantes. Now, this is a bit different, as Rosario was a lot better than Mancini. Personally, the version of Rosario that destroyed Bramble has a legit argument for beating DeJesus. BUT, let's not ignore that Rosario was stopped by Ramirez, and NARROWLY beat Howard Davis.
I don't have much to contribute to this thread except a funny story. When I was a kid, and not knowing spanish, I used to think that Dejesus was pronounced De-Jesus ( as in christ ) rather than Dehaysoos which is the proper way.. Have a great weekend.
