Showtime Card looks great on paper. First time I've been looking forward to a card in a while.

Nice to hear Sky had done their research on Cornish. First time he'd gone the distance tonight. 7 ko's in his 7 wins apparently :-(

    It's not difficult...

Great effort from Carslaw. Thought he was boxing well until the clash of heads in the 3rd, then Rose took over. Carslaw recovered well and adjusted his game plan, though Rose was able to block some of Carslaw's shots. What really let Kris down though was his lack of punching power. Rose landed the cleaner shots throughout the fight but with a bit more power I reckon Kris could have nicked a few more of those close rounds. He still did Paisley proud though, and hopefully he takes heart from showing he belongs at this level.

Congrats to Rose though. He wasn't at his best tonight but still landed the cleaner shots and upped his game when he had to. Hopefully he takes a few well earned weeks out of the gym before focusing on winning a Lonsdale outright. Would make for a great story considering how different his career outlook was after the first Maxwell fight.
