unless joanna j knows how to wrestle and can land takedowns or get this fight in the clinch I think she suffers the same fate as the first fight. Technical boxing and technical boxing footwork beats kickboxing/muythai 9/10
Yeah I see Rose doing a number on her again which I'm fine with after Joanna became an ar$ehole the longer she was champ.
This content is protected You’re one of the more knowledgable posters round here....how could you get that statement so completely reversed and lopsidedly wrong. I’ve had a few beers myself tonight, what you been at continuous Jäger bombs?
Rose and Kattar boxing tech and skill 101. Muy Thai and kick boxing stand to square. Can handle the in and out. We will see.
Your fight science is way off brother. I’m too drunk now but I’ll weite a thing tomorrow. In a boxing match I’d agree most of the time, but there is a reason MT guys fight square. At distance we put 75% of our weight on the back foot. We keep the lead leg loose and bouncing, to quick check and to counter with the lead leg...which 99% of MMA strikers don’t do. They switch and pull back with which ever leg they kick with for power...bad skills usually taught in most MT of KB gyms outside Thailand. If you are in a boxing stance against a quality striker you have at least 50% of your body weight on your lead leg, which is positioned to far out in front of you and hence twists your upper torso to far around. Which makes it easy to kick you mid level, but more importantly makes your front leg an easy and slow target to punishing low kicks inside and out. You are also giving up your shoulder which makes it easier with hands to pull you into a clinch, which gives me the upper hand to manipulate you with knees and MT throws. You also can’t lift your lead leg quickly to avoid a quick low kick. And super importantly you can’t counter quickly if at all with your lead leg. You can’t push off or control an oncoming attacking opponent, it makes it hard to counter attack him in that situation with meaningful straight knees from equal legs....which is key as knees are kryptonite to the punch. There’s more reasons but I’m drunk...there is a reason MT guys fight almost square..they don’t have a weak side the style demands they strike instantly with power from both sides on the chance of any opening whilst constantly stalking forward. You have to remember much of the close in heavy end of an MT fight is done pushing out lead arms whilst moving forward after the distance has been closed. No room for them boxing stance there.... I realise you are talking in an MMA context but the science you stated is wrong. It only works when watching MMA because 99% aren’t pure or quality strikers in same way as a genuine full time striker. I’m not dissing MMA guys there I have full respect it’s just they don’t have the time.
