Criminally underrated fighter in a division where many say there aren't many fighters worth mentioning, or any true greats outside of Lopez. Well, what about someone that potentially deserved wins over the great Lopez not once but twice? What's really impressive is that he was inactive for 14 months going into the first Lopez fight. And in the years leading up to that fight, he was really making some noise in the minimumweight division.
very good shout out to a great fighter, alveraz from what i heard was deserving of the nod in the first fight and the second fight was very close and could have gone either way. alveraz would have been a huge obstacle to arce or darchinian in his prime.
He was a tough fighter, and very strong for his size, but he couldnt keep himself from fouling. He was one of the dirtiest little fighters in the history of the sport. Dummy too, he cost himself some big paydays for being a fool with his management and promoter.
