Listen buddy, I grew up watching Ali dance around Foreman, Norton, and Shavers. Then I seen him deteriorate. Then I followed Holmes, watching that sweet jab keep his opponents at such a distance that it seemed at any time he could end it with one straight R hand. I almost cried when Mike KOd him.
I hated Tyson for years after that, and even rooted for Peter ****ing McNeely to somehow find a way to beat the beast. But alas, it was a mismatch. At that point I realized my hatred for Mike was more because I loved Holmes so much.
While I really never like Holy to begin with because he had such average everything, I was a Foreman 2 fan. I loved the new, punishment absorbing Foreman and he was my new fav. I hoped for a day to see Foreman blast Tyson outta there. But it didn't ever happen. Mike went away, and Foreman retired. Bowe was a coward, and also quite average. He never did anything for me, and although I felt little for Lewis, I was happy to see him spark Tyson. Same for Holy. I actually began to appreciate Holy's CPing during that first affair in 96. But during those Olympics, I got my Ali back. I got my Holmes back, and I got my Foreman 2 back. I had someone I could follow and root for, win or lose, up or down.

Now, I liked other fighters too. In the 80s, I liked Bonecrusher, in the 90s I liked Sandman and Morrison, and Sanders, and in the 00s I liked Byrd, Ruiz, and Thompson. I mean, just cuz Im a Klithugger don't mean I like only them.

Right now, I'm pulling for this 33y/o HW David Rodriquez to step it up. He's got devastating power in both hands, and iron chin, and decent foot/handspeed. Could be a top contender if anyone will actually give him a fight.

In the next decade, beside total Klitschko domination, we will witness the rise of a new champion, Robbe Helenius, and he will take the throne as soon as Wlad passes him the keys to the palace.:deal
