He`s one of the hardest fighters to rank IMO, his ability is a level up from his achievements, thats his own fault.
I think in terms of ability, it would take an awful lot to leave him out of a top 20 but everything considered, resume etc etc, top 30 sounds about right, he still has time to improve that dramatically tho but he better stop pissin about & get a move on.

I have lost interest in lists with exact numbers, it's too difficult and ultimately rather meaningless, but in terms of an approximate tier I'd say 50-60 at the moment. Ability-wise he'd be a bit higher, but his resume precludes him from top 50 status IMO. Unconvincing wins over Castillo and a past-prime Oscar, then a raft of wins over decent fighters like Judah, Hatton and Corrales is not top 50 material. Great fighter who really should have done more in his career.

I think he's about 55-60...but in all honesty he's one bad defeat away from dropping out of the top 100 completely. My ranking of Floyd has a lot more to do with his god given talent than his resume!!!

I don't have an official Top 10 or Top 50 P4P ATG list. As many have already said, these lists are often inaccurate and meaningless. However, I rate fighters mainly on their resume, and the general consensus is that Floyd's skill set warrants a much greater one than he can boast at this time. I tend to agree with that. Why would the number of belts he has acquired be all that relevant here when he had to beat Baldomir and Gatti to get two of them?

Great achievement, but his best wins are; Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, and Oscar De La Hoya. Hatton was not comfortable at 147lb as evidenced by his poor showing against Collazo, and Oscar was past his prime. The other two are good wins, all though there is an arguement that Castillo deserved the nod in their first encounter. It's a good resume, but top 30 worthy? Probably not.

To answer the thread question, in the event I had one of these unofficial lists, Mayweather Jr would probably be around 50-60.

Wish I had the patience to study more fighters, there are just some fighters I cant bring myself to watch too much of because their style doesnt appeal to me... my knowledge of some of the past greats is moving along at the pace of a snail due to this **** :-(
