I'm just curious who you gave the round to and why? Haye landed probably the best punch of the night and Wlad held on for about 10 seconds. Was he hurt? Maybe. Badly hurt? Don't know. But then Wlad opened up and landed several pretty good punches on Haye and pretty much controlled the last 2 minutes of that fight. Who do you give the round to in instances like this? Pretty much like round 1 of Pac v. JMM 2. The guy who landed the signature punch of the round or the guy who controlled the round and landed more shots? Also, do you give the round to Haye because he's lost virtually every round and you're searching to give him a round because you know it won't make any difference.
I had it even. Haye landed a big one, but short after Wlad landed a straight right hand himself. After that, both fighters punshes where pretty much hitting air or just grazing ... Incredible defence from both men, by the way.
I had it for Wlad...that one decent punch was no better than the combo that Haye in the same condition....so call that part even. and the rest of the round has to count too.
Yes. Same here. One punch doesn't win a round when the other guy controls you for the remainder. As for scoring rounds based on previous rounds, no. I try to look at each round individually.
I don't think the shot Haye landed in the 12th really had that big of an effect on Wlad. He's programmed to hold and continue to hold until the opponent stops throwing or the ref breaks them up. He's been doing the same for years now. So while from our perspective it all looks dramatic, from his he is simply killing momentum and staying in control. However shortly after Haye's shot, Wlad walked Haye into a corner and landed a combo that slightly buckled Haye's left knee. Because I believe Wlad was not hurt by Haye's shot and only held to kill momentum and because he dominated most of the round I gave the round to Wlad.
I thought that Wladimir won the round even though that was a good hit landed by Haye. I agree with you that this Wladimir stays so much more composed than did the Wladimir of old.
agree 100 percent. I watched the fight again last night and it looked like Haye also came in with an elbow after that punch. The U.K coverage (JOHN RAWLING!!! I like you man, but you exagerate so much!! lol) made out like Wlad was really hurt lol They also got all dramtic when Wlad fired back and "stopped Haye in his tracks" or something.... Commentary is a funny old thing. They should have known that's what Wlad does lol Why would he stand there and let Haye crack him on the back of the head? Which he did try!!!!!!!!
It was a klitschko round, Haye did have him hurt but not enough to knock him out. After Haye landed that, Klitschko came back with 3 right hands and landed all of them and completely shut haye out. How the **** anyone scores this round for Haye is blind. For me haye only won 1 round and that was round 3
