Sorry if this has been brought up already. But, after Shane got dropped in round three and the ref clears him to fight Shane wants to touch gloves again AND Pacquiao does it!!! Now I'm thinking WTF. Isn't that normally when you would expect Paq to pounce and go for the kill? What was Shane doing? Tactics? Still nervous? What!!?? Discuss. Thanks!
you want to know something funny about that fight, look at round 1, Manny gets working and shane is trying to establish himself, he makes Manny miss a bit and then you hear shane tell manny... "Your too slow Manny" he was selling that fight all the way up to the point in which he was knocked down.....
^ dont think he said that. That was someone from one of the corners yelling that out , and it was directed to shane not manny.
You're right, Pac did go for the kill. But right when it's time to fight Shane wants to touch gloves. Pac should have done like Maidana rd 1 against Khan.
mosley really gave the sport a black eye that night, he played into pacs friendly gentleman nature by touching gloves the whole time he tried the same **** with floyd who got irritated by him talking and keeping his glove up that he jabbed him in the mouth, which is the right way, this is a fight no sparring exhibition.
well pac was being careful. He wasnt just gonna rush in and get caught with something. Shane was hurt but his head was clear after the knockdown.
If there weren't so many Floyd nuthuggers the fight would have never happened. Nobody wanted to acknowledge that Shane was totally shot from the opening bell vs Floyd. next he fights to a draw with Mora. He had Floyd hurt in rd 2 and he was already gassed out. Shane was huffing and puffing in round 1. Vs Manny if you watch in rd2 it was over as well. Manny cracked him real good and Shane began retreating. Neither fighter proved anything as clearly after the layoff (16 months after Margarito) Shane's age finally got the best of him.
Watch the fight again numnuts especially in the first round. That was Naseem Richardson yelling "You're too slow Shane, You're too Slow Shane" Twice!!!
Floyd showed you what you should do when someone wants to touch gloves...matter fact he politley let Mosley know it would be none of that when he tried it with him.....
Margarto vs Pacquiao was a true war even though there was no bad blood, it was a clean fight, and it was one-sided. Mosley vs Pacquiao was stupid with all the glove touching and running and posturing. No competitiveness.
Is it just me but ever since the hand patting from Mosley do you check to see how often it occurs in other fights since? I have and it just makes mosley's tactics/antics more weirder and frustrating in terms of boxing and fighting
Have you seen Mosley's reaction in the 10th when the ref rulled a knock down on Pac. ****ing pricelss!!!!! He turned around, raised his hands as if disagreeing with referee! That is the only fight where a fighter credited with a knockdown seems not happy to get one.
