i though hes wearing the right socks after seeing the 3rd round ko. but...

    WHAT HAPPENED AT ROUND 4?

PAc could have finished jmm off in this round but he opted not to. a very stupid decision as they only allowed jmm to come back latter in the fight.

I just think Marquez counters best when his back is hard up against the wall.

jmm didnt throw any real counters in round 4, he was back pedalling the entire round.

Paq had already gone 12 rounds with JMM and knows how dangerous he is when hurt. You just can't go wading into a guy like Marquez.

I just rewatched the thing and although Marquez connected more with his own attacks, he did counter successfully quite a number of times. It is true he did back straight up and those were the times he got hammered big time.

You're right Pacquiao didn't press it as much as he should have. It seemed he was waiting for JMM to engage him like he did in the last twenty seconds of the previous round.

jmm was backing throughout the round, the legs werent there yet, and he wasnt countering as aggresive as he was on the previous rounds. pac could have finished him off. but he opted not to.

true. If pac went all out in round 4, chances are, he might be caught with a definitive counter by marquez. and he had to pace himself as well which showed his maturity as a fighter.

You mean opted not to risk getting KOd himself. Did you forget what happened at the end of round 2 when if there would have been 20 more seconds JMM would have stopped PAc. Pac was seriosly hurt there. By the look in his face you could tell he didnt know what hit him. JMM i dont think was ever as hurt as Pac was. The knockdown was bad footing combined with a great punch. JMM had all his weight on the front foot which cause him to fall flat on his back.

i doubt if jmm could deliver any power punch in that round. watch again and look at the legs

What do his legs have to do with delivering a punch?? He has great form when throwing punches. Some people like Pac generate their power with their legs but i dont think JMM relies on that as much.

I think JMM was more hurt than Pacquiao.

PAC did not underestimate JMM in that fight, at any round.

I think round 2 Pac was very hurt and round 8 he was pretty hurt too. JMM has shaky legs and does go down but he never was really in serious trouble.
