Ortiz a harder puncher than Pac? Maybe Fact. I give you that one

Ortiz a lot slower that Pac. Fact

Ortiz worse footwork that Pac. Fact

Ortiz easier to hit than Pac. Fact

Ortiz bigger but worse chin than Pac. Fact

Ortiz was hurt in the fight but he walked through a lot of Floyd's crisp punches. Fact.

Myself including some of the other posters here who I know to be boxing guys and people I tend to respect are on the same page. Ortiz was in no way in control of that fight but you could feel the danger. It wouldn't have surprised me whatsoever if Ortiz had given Mayweather as much trouble as he's seen in years - or worse - in the latter stages of the match. Floyd's offensive approach was meant to diffuse and destabilize Ortiz but it was making him come alive and a firefight was starting to build. Could have been very interesting. Floyd is a smart guy. Very smart..

In this case it proving quite useful. 9 power punches to 25 power punches says a lot in a round that wasn't even finished yet.

Ortiz lost the round just like he lost the fight. He landed one right hand with about secs left. Then wildy flurried while Mayweather was on the ropes. Got frstrated because he was missing and butted. Mayweather had tagged Ortiz several times throughout the round, had him hurt and threw a nice combination in the middle of the ring, though Ortiz covered up nicely. Clear Floyd round. Then Floyd KOed him.

I agree, Ortiz had his best round in the 4th but still I as well had Mayweather winning. It did look like the momentum was changing for a bit.

That head-butt was out of fustration. Ortiz knew he had something going but needed to follow up to keep the momentum going his way, but just couldn't connect, Mayweather was doing everything to avoid damage.

If the ref would of been more in control of the situation and Ortiz was in fight mode instead of trying to get FLoyd to accept his apologies, it would of turned out to be a very entertaining fight. Yes, Mayweather might of still got his KO, but it would of been nicer in the heat of battle and Floyd would of got more admiration for his skills than disdane ( you know there's always going to be those that hate regardless ).

That's why I'm a firm believer in leaving all the hugging and apologies untill after the fight! I'm tired of all the hugging and kissing it's ggod to see good sportsmanship, but save for the post fight press conferance.

It just suck for a fight to end in that fashion no matter who the fighters are. The sport suffers.

The round didn't even finish. Who are these boxing guys scoring rounds that aren't complete?
