Ortiz would have been dangerous just like Corley, Judah and Mitchell who all got big shots on Floyd by virtue of his south paw stance. From that instance the fight would have been interesting, add to Floyd throwing combos and power shots, with Ortiz face busted up, with Ortiz tactic to try and swarm Mayweather against the ropes with his 14lb advantage, yes the fight could have been interesting. However

Mayweather was dominating the fight. Ortiz got off a good shot at the end of the 4th, a round Mayweather dominated, and proceeded to miss all his shots on the ropes. We saw Oscar and Hatton do the same thing and get tired out which led to domination later in the fight. Ortiz however was already desperate because he was getting beaten on and his eye was swelling.

Ortiz got flustered and headbutted Floyd. Ortiz was just happy to get a pay check. He didnt want to be in the ring with Mayweather.

Come on guys, dont rewrite what happened because you dont like Floyd. Floyd was winning handidly and would have been up 4 rounds - none on 2 judges scorecards, with a 10-8 cushion. Ortiz would have basically needed a KO to win that fight.

Whenever Floyd gets caught he goes to the ropes. Did it against Judah, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez and Mosley.

You're overreacting to nothing but a counter shot that Ortiz landed in a round where he was outlanded 3-1 by Floyd.

This. Ortiz's flurry was a sign of a beaten man throwing everything he could as a last stand. Ortiz did manage some good shots but missed his best shots and the headbutt was sheer frustration of not landing his best punches. Ortiz got to him because Mayweather opened up agressively. If Ortiz hadn't headbutted, the bell would have gone after 10 seconds, then Mayweather would most likely had come out in round 5, return to precision boxing to take away Ortiz's slim confidence from the flurry, then return to the aggressive offense in the sixth or seventh round.

I'm a fan of Ortiz and would go for him if he was facing anybody not named Pacquiao, Mayweather or Katsidis but he was beyond disappointing from the first round.

You dumb ass and I do mean dumb ass, you and a1 fake sauce to find one moment where ortiz was in control .. he was getting beat from end to end. His only answer was to try and bust floyd up with his head.. Which I think was there plan all along..

victor was getting beat and looking for a way out, no where in the fight did his attack bother floyd..

yeah, he was doin well but got to excited and landed a blantant headbut which started what turn out to be a complete mess resulting in the infamous "sucker punch". so really in the end, ortiz got what he deserved for being so foolish. why commit a foul when you're having the best moment in the fight?

How was Ortiz winning the 4th? Ortiz was deducted 1 point for the headbut and KO in the 4th, If Ortiz would of beat the ten count, Ortiz would have been down 7-10 in that round. LOL!

You're clearly ******ed, Ortiz landed 9 punches and 1 headbut, Floyd landed like 27 punches that round? How do you figure he was "winning" the round?
