I dunno, the headbutt in that round was only one of several up to that time. Look at the fight again and you'll see more than one instance of Ortiz trying to butt Floyd. Had he been successful (Ortiz) with opening up a severe cut or worse I think Floyd knew he was in for a hard night and took the "opportunity" to end it quickly. Another part of me thinks there was something else behind this whole thing........I hope I'm wrong.

Ortiz was ready to go, he was getting desperate and he resorted to cheating...end of story...he landed a couple of punches, but if you watch closely you'll see that Floyd was slipping alot of that stuff...but he's Floyd Mayweather, so he's not allowed to get hit, and if he gets hit once it means he's about to get ko'd and that his skills are diminishing.

PBF threw a blatant sucker punch on the break but the fact is that Ortiz caused that situation himself by throwing one of the most obvious and wild headbutts you will see in a ring. Jumped off his feet virtually to land it.

He could have been DQ'd on the spot for that, and then in response PBF threw the cheap shot that was technically legal but morally a cheating punch as he pretended to be accepting the hug as an apology and then threw as he stepped back.

Regardless Ortiz did not land a HUGE right, he landed a couple of shots and the rest of them had the sting took out of them by Floyds movement. Everytime someone backs him up and starts throwing, people go wild but they seem to miss how much slides off him or only cuffs him. He was not stunned, not hurt and not worried and he would have thrashed Ortiz anyway.

It's still annoying that he chose to take the route out that he did, but I guess he decided to get his own back for the headbutt and so did it in a cynical fashion.

The right hand leads were something that was going to eventually shut the eyes of Ortiz...had the ref not stopped it he wouldnt see punches coming and he'd get knocked...

either way Floyd was winning the fight..headbutt or no headbutt..Ortiz was on the way to a Gatti treatment as soon as his eyes started shutting and he started losing that side vision.

If Ortiz wasn't a low ring IQ victim he could have worked the body on the ropes.

The worrying thing is, I'm not sure you haters even watch the fights?

    Floyd went to touch gloves.

Ortiz tried to hug him again instead.

Ref broke it up. Told them the fight was back on

    Ortiz ignored it.

    Floyd knocked him out.

You know, I'm sure you don't think what you're saying is even true. You guys just need to blurt out this stuff, so you can masterbuate in comfort without Mayweather popping into your head, at the critical moment

Guys don't headbutt people, and seriously risk DQ, when they have any chance of winning.

Ortiz was about to get knocked out. So went for broke.

You seriously think, he was hugging the guy FOUR times, and delaying the fight for minutes, as he was keen on boxing?

 No he didnt. shane had his hands up and he was looking at floyd.. also floyd was not as close as he was when he hit vic.

Floyd came up to victor to tap gloves and as victor was stepping back with his hands down, money timed it perfectly and landed 2 clean power shots on a defenseless vic! Money da ****

Hatton caught Mayweather off balance and he was momentarily stumbling. Even Emmanuel Steward claimed during the commentary that Floyd was uncomfortable with Ricky's pressure.
    Mayweather TKO10

De La Hoya gave a pretty good effort and at times tried to make Floyd uncomfortable. Delusional fans claimed De la Hoya actually won.
    Mayweather SD12

Judah won 4 of the first 5 rounds. Didn't matter because Floyd figured him out and subsequently school him.
    Mayweather UD12

Mosley had Mayweather in a far more uncomfortable position than Ortiz ever did. Floyd dominated.
    Mayweather UD12

The point is that Floyd was beating Ortiz pretty clean and won every round. One thing you should notice is that Floyd typically doesn't bust out the lead right until he gets comfortable with an opponent. He was comfortable early. He was aggressive early. Ortiz was a young strong and capable challenger of course he was going to pressure Floyd and occasionally have his moments.

And the fact that he did the same to Gatti & Mosley, 2 fighters who he thoroughly dominated shows consistency in his ruthless competitive nature. There is no point in being half assed. If the first punch was legal then why stop there and wait for Ortiz to take away the opening for the 2nd punch?

The suggestion that Maywaether was looking for a way out is asinine considering how he was dominating.

:patsch Who do you think I hate you twat? I don't have pathetic, female like obsessions with any fighter. PBF is the most talented fighter on the planet and he will beat Pac if they ever meet. Does that sound like a hater?

The fact is it was a cheap shot. I've watched it over and over and he throws the punch knowing Ortiz is not expecting it. That is Ortiz's fault for not defending himself and for being a dirty **** to start with and throwing the headbutt.

If your reading comprehension is so sub-standard that you read my post as a hater when it was actually perfectly objective then that's your problem.
