Just re-watching the fight, round 5 has to be one of the best ive seen, whats your best round/s of any given fight? In fact, as Im watching it, its hard to pick the round I like the best, so Ill stay with 5...........9 was good though...
The best round I think I've ever seen was the last round of the Corrales/Castillo fight - when Chico was down twice - had a point taken away for spitting out his mouth piece - then got up to stop Castillo on his feet. That has to be the best round I've ever seen.
Yep, that was a barn-burner of a fight, although chico spitting the mouthpiece out twice was cheap to me, but he had bollocks the size of a Bull to come back and snatch the W outta Castillo hands! Just laughing at the scoring on the barrera v morales 1st fight:huh :bart atsch
I've only seen film of the fight, (if I was there I'd be over a hundred years old now), but the most awesome round I've witnessed was round one of Dempsey -Firpo. Dempsey was down in the opening seconds, came back to floor Firpo seven times, and then got knocked the f**** out of the ring by a right hand that the "Wild Bull" brought up from South America. Dempsey might have never made it back into the ring if not for ringside reporters pushing him back into the ring. But of course, thats what happened and Dempsey knocked Firpo senseless in the second.
I dont think this is in there with the very best , but Barney Ross vs. Jimmy McLarnin 3 is a very good fight . Probably IMO though the best ROUND is still Hagler Hearns 1 just cant get away from it
Barrera-Morales I is my favorite fight and round 5 is my favorite round in all of boxing. There was so much back and forth in that round, it was great:thumbsup
Same for me mate, although it seems we favour different fighters:twisted: :bbb :good Their trilogy was incredible, both incredible fighters, ATG and HOF certs
Gatti Ward rd. 5 was better. round 9 was better than that. Chico/castillo round 10........round 9 of briggs/admek was pretty good.........floyd/corley round 4........there are more but i can't think of them all, but that was one hell of a round.
Mayweather/Corley Round 4 was an underrated round. By far the most exciting round in Mayweather's career. Who thought he could be that exciting?
