Round 9 of Pavlik-Martinez : Was it a 10-8 for Martinez for you?

Same here, I was close to it, but since I never saw pavlik clearly hurt or stunned I shyed away from it, though I wouldn't argue with anyone that had it 10-8.

He did outland him like 35-3 or something like that in the round.

Funny thing you mentioned this because right after the bell rung I asked a friend of mine would you score that a 10-8 round!!!

 

I still scored it 10-9 as i felt thats how the judges would see it but can understand why you might give it 10-8. Pav never really looked hurt tho so i refrained from a 10-8.

Could have been. They way Martinez came out in the 9th - I almost fell off the chair. Dude was on fire.

 

It was clearly a 10-8 round. Many say Pavlik wasn't hurt? Hell yea he was hurt. <<If lets say he wasn't hurt, that don't mean it wasn't a 10-8 round. Pavlik did nothing in that round while Martinez did everything.

 

That was a 10-9 round.


And that was no KD of Martinez. So they both should have been 10-9 rounds in my opinion.

 

It was no kd but Martinez was beating the hell out of Pavlik very very badly that it should be a 10-8 round. The right eye that was bleeding like crazy started in that round.

Yeah, I kinda understand that thinking, but I usually reserve 10-8 non-KD rounds for those where he dominates him throughout the entire round, AND puts him on ***** street badly.

 

Sergio deserved to win that round 10-8. Furthermore, there were points where he appeared to be on the verge of forcing Pavlik to quit after that.

 

Think about this nba, after that round, Pavlik wanted to quit.

 

Yeah, he didn't look as if he wanted any more after that. But I credit him with having the nerve to earn his ****ing money and press on.

 

that was great, it looked like martinez was done, pavlik was coming on strong and then suddenly martinez goes in there and starts kicking ass.
