not surprising as usually the bigger guy wears down the smaller guy who moves up in weight. both should retire. they really stink up the joint!

but don't be fooled, hopkins is too old to beat any young natural super middle or light heavy. he'd get disqualified for sure. i mean he was holding onto a junior middleweight for crying out loud.

plus winky's not exactly young for a junior middle either and never really had great power, so i think B-Hop will retire. if he doesn't then he's silly.

i mean... how many more fighters out there around his age or willing to come up a few weight classes are there?

seriously dude retire. enjoy the new job at golden boy promotions.

Don't be sad, your boy showed incredible heart. If he rests and comes back against some soft oppposition, he might still beat a couple fringe contenders at 135. Katsidis is just one strong mofo.

Winky fights at 170 very comfortably, and that is no excuse. This fight would not have been any different if they both weighed in at 160. Both would have cut weight, and gained back the extra 10 pounds in water weight by the next night anyways.

Hopkins is just a better fighter than Winky. Winky has been overrated for quite some time. Very talented fighter, but very overrated lately.

Say what? Hopkins owned the division that Winky can't win a title in now, then he moved up and took a title in Light Heavy. Winky usually cries after he comes on the bad end of any close decision. The guy got beat by someone who he was supposed to make look like an old man... Who faded in the end?

I don't know why Winky is viewed as such a classy guy. He's a good fighter, but he has thrown a little tantrum and stormed out of the ring after every close fight... did he do something similar tonight?

i'd watch bernard fight the winner of calzaghe/kessler because im a big fan of theirs, and not a big fight of bernard.

i would enjoy watching them win and putting a name on their record, but it would be a waste of time. they would just be beating up an old fart. tho of course some B-Hop fans cannot take off the time warp goggles and would think he'd still have a good chance.

i bet you tho, that if the fight came off, he'd either lose by ko, or disqualification from excessive holding. no way will the younger guys go to a decision with hopkins. hell, those guys can easily fill into the lightheavyweight class but their diets allow them to stay put.

wouldn't be a contest at this stage of B-Hops career so it's not worth thinking about. tho it will be funny to see a 43 year old B-Hop trying to gee up kessler/calzaghe in the weigh in. it'd be like a granddad arguing with his grandson :rofl

Winky walks around a bigger man than Hopkins, weight-wise. He comes down from 190 between fights. This fight should have actually left him with a lot more stamina and strength than fighting at 160 or 154. All these people pulling out the "Winky was just too small" statements need to have their posts searched for Winky victory predictions.

when u talk about pay-per-view u want a great main event,it wasnt great, but they didnt run ALL nite , they didnt clown, they fought hard. akward, choppy, and frustrating. The fighters did come to compete and i think actually did it at their best which tells u where there at now. I agree with u that if Hopkins fought Calzaghe it wouldnt go like he thinks

You got it. This went down just like a predicted: Hopkins UD by several points on each card. If anything, B-Hop was a little better than I thought he would be.

Winky 'huggers and Hopkins haters: suck it. The Old Man still has it.

I don't know about the scores... I would give Hopkins 7-5 at best for neutralizing efficiently Winky's jab but that was an awful fight full of clinches, some low blows...

Vasquez/Marquez II 3 rd round was even better than the whole fight.
