By all accounts, a typical feather fisted Guzman performance. Alex Arthur would beat this guy.

When a man cant punch, hes a sitting duck. & Joan Guzman is so feather fisted its laughable. Alex Arthur would beat him right now.

Guzman is nothing but a hypejob. Always has been, always will be.

Thats not running. I have the fight on TV. Guzman TRADED plenty of times. Forgive Guzman for being faster then Soto.

If you arn't a power puncher are you going to trade with someone who has knocked out 15 of his last 20 opponents.

For the 36 minutes of the fight.

16 minutes of Guzman boxing and moving, the rest was them trading or smothering punches on each other.

rarely did he run backwards though. 90% of the time he was moving in circles around Soto while flicking the jab to the head and body, periodically lunging in for quick exchanges that he mostly got the better of. It's not his fault he's so much faster than Soto. You seem to be confused - you're accusing him of "running", when he wasn't really ever far from Soto or moving away from him - he kept right at the end of Soto's range until he felt ready to come in and attack - that's called perfect boxing. It's like you're mad at him for being as fast as every boxer wishes they were.

Running would be never wanting to exchanges. Guzman just moved in circles.

Sheesh! Talk about Godlen boy influence. There was not one positive thing said about Soto even though he pressed all night while Guzman was one of the most boring runners on earth.:patsch

what you're doing is judging the fight based on the style you prefer rather than the effectiveness of what the individuals in the ring are doing. liking a style = subjective. judging a fight = objective (should be, anyway)

Alex Arthur would be schooled even worst than Soto was tonight.

Right now Arthur is the interim champion for Guzman's WBO belt, i betcha hes going to forfeit it.

Yeah he did move in circles but when you are moving in circles at least 2 foot away from Soto thats not much betwwen us calling it running and you calling it circling.

Had it 7-5, but clear for Guzman. The only thing that pissed me off was Guzman's running in circles away from Soto.

Not a bad scrap in the end.

Guzman showed you don't have to be a great power puncher to abuse some1 in a boxing fight. Guzman just beat a top 5 guy in his division and he's the guy people in his weight division are going to avoid. Guzman is not a hype job and if he beat Pac you'll jump on the bandwagon.
